Carter Funeral Home honorably announces the peaceful transition of Ms. Audra L. Works, (49) of Union Springs, Alabama.
Ms. Works transitioned into eternity on June 27, 2022, in Montgomery, AL.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, July 1, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Celebration will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm from the sanctuary of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Union Springs, AL. Pastor Gary Lewis will deliver the message of triumph.
Interment will follow all services in the Lowfield Missionary Baptist Cemetery.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
MS. AUDRA LAWANDA WORKS was born November 19, 1972 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Jesse Lee and Icyphine B. Works. She was preceded in death by her brother, Curtis Samuel Baskin, her maternal grandparents, Deanna Baskin and Willie Fred Pritchett; and paternal grandparents, Tom and Mary Works.
She was educated in the Bullock County School System. She furthered her education and graduated from Alabama State University with a B.S. Degree in “Computer Information Systems”. Her knowledge of computers were impeccable. It brought joy to Audra's heart to fellowship with her family by hosting different games, especially during the holidays. She was a sports enthusiast, loving all sports.
Audra's precious memories will be cherished by her sisters, Lessie Baskin, Spring Hill, TN; Cathy (John) McCray, Montgomery, AL; Gwendolyn E. (Bobby) Dubose, Birmingham, AL; brothers, Randy (Sonny) Baskin, High Point, NC; James Tatum, Atlanta, GA; Donnell Swanson and Kenneth Delbridge, Union Springs, AL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
