Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Mrs. Annie Pearl Manley Posey, of Union Springs Alabama.
Mrs. Posey, transitioned into eternal life December 7, 2021, while in the comforting care of the professionals at the Baptist Medical Center β South, Montgomery, AL.
The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, December 17, 2021, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
Farewell services at Graveside will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 11:00 am from the New Hope Missionary Baptist Cemetery, Union Springs, AL. Pastor A. R. Andrews will deliver the message of comfort.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
Annie Pearl Manley Posey was called home on December 7, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama. Annie was born on April 28, 1938 in Union Springs, Alabama to the parents of Eddie Vae and John Manley.
In 1963, Annie Pearl moved from Union Springs to New Jersey where she spent twenty-two years as a supervisor before relocating to Chicago. Annie spent six years in Chicago before moving back to Union Springs, where she married her life long partner, Comer Posey, Sr. in 2001.
Annie was full of happiness, laughter, and love which she shared with everyone including 3 foster children. Annie was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church until she was called home. Annie βMa Pearlβ Posey will undoubtedly be missed by us all.
Annie Pearl is survived by her husband of 20 years Comer Posey, Sr.; her cherished son, Mackrel (Marie); her step-children: Brenda, Comer Jr., and Shellie; siblings: Henry (Marie), Clara, Roosevelt (Linda), James, Eddie Mae (the late Eugene), John (Ernestine), John Toney, and Lorraine; grandchildren: Jasmine, Ashley (Whitney), Michelle (Floyd), and Cecilia; 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including her special niece, Loretta, and close friends: Leslie and Lorraine.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of my Cousin Annie Pearl. My heart is filled with grief as I am reminded of our days spent at Southern Springs Regab. I will miss her deeply, but may her soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
