Lula Kearse (affectionately known as Elizabeth), 92, of 3630 Caspian Drive, Columbus, GA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 am at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The Reverend Raymond Andrews will officiate.

Elizabeth Kearse and her twin sister, Louise Webb, were born on December 20, 1933, in Columbus, GA, to Henderson and Georgia Ann Jordan Sanders. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Mrs. Kearse worked on Fort Benning Army base while her husband served in the military. She faithfully served alongside her husband, Reverend Harry Kearse Sr., in God's ministry until his death on April 15, 2007. Survivors include 4 sons: Hunter (Brenda) Biggers, Vincent (Tanya) Kearse of Columbus, Ga, Gregory Leggett of Chicago, IL, and John Wesley Kearse Jr. of Decatur, AL. Two daughters: Seletia Green and Vickie Kearse Williams of Columbus, Ga; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
