Christopher Arthur LeFrederick Traylor was born on August 7, 1985 in LaGrange, Georgia. After a five-year battle with a rare form of cancer, He departed this life on July 14, 2026 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, Georgia.
Along life journey, Chris acquired many friends. One of his proudest moments was when he returned to God. He was baptized for a second time on June 7, 2026 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Chris graduated from Troup County Schools and was a member of the Troup High School graduating class of 2003. He furthered his education by attending Alabama A&M University, Huntsville, Alabama, where he graduated in 2008 with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. Christopher was a standout defensive end and was instrumental in helping Alabama A& M to win the SWAC Championship. He was employed with the United States Air Force in Warner Robbins, Georgia for 17 years as an engineer.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and friendship that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Christopher known as “Chris” was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend and coworker. Chris was the proud son of William Charles Traylor, Sr. and Melanie Mikele Trammell Traylor. He was blessed with twin sons, David and Daniel Traylor, born April 16 and 17, 2014.
Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mary Will Trammell, Fred Heard, Mattie Ruth Pittman Evans (Jimmy), Arthur Lewis Traylor Jr; aunts and uncles, Angela Trammell Yarborough, LaSha Heard, Jeff Heard, Larry Pittman, Sylvia Price, Robert L. Pittman and James Todd.
Chris leaves to cherish his memory: his two sons, David and Daniel Traylor (West Point, Georgia); stepson, Christin Garner (Hinesville, Georgia); parents, William Charles Traylor, Sr. and Melanie Mikele Trammell Traylor (West Point, Georgia); two brothers, William (C.J.) Traylor(Tonya) (Hiram, Georgia), Corey Traylor(Toya) (College Park, Georgia); aunts, Geraldine Todd (Lanett, Alabama), Vicki Trammell Cuthbert (Marietta, Georgia), Debra Lane (Rosedale, New York), Lorna Floyd (Montgomery, Al), Yolandra Truitt (Valley, Alabama), Yolanda Parker (College Park, Georgia); uncles, Jerome Pittman (Yvonne), Benti Trammell (Cameka) (LaGrange, Georgia), Kim Heard (Paula)( Dunn Loring, Virginia), Reginald Lovelace (Dana) (Gwinnett County, Georgia); nieces and nephews, Catori, William III, Jillian and Corey, Jr; godparents, Phillip and Theresa Todd of West Point, Georgia; Bobby McClain (a special brother) , other special friends, Sidney Hill, Kwinton Deramus, Dedrick Little, Syris Lemon, Trina Lamar, Keli Davis, Marquez McCullough, Jamal Bridges and an array of other relatives and friends.
Though he has departed from this earthly life, the love, wisdom, and memories he shared will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy will continue through his family and all whose lives he touched.
