Mrs. Mollie Lee McCall was born on January 20, 1945, and passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 81.
She was born and raised in the Odessadale Community, the cherished daughter of her late mother, Bessie Kate Harris.
Her real heroes were her grandparents, Willie Mae and Joe Tinsley, who greatly inspired her. At an early age, she joined Branch Hebron Missionary Baptist Church, laying the foundation for a life of faith and purpose.
After marriage, she joined St. Paul C.M.E. Church, where she once served as an usher and was also a member of the St. Paul C.M.E. Choir.
Her Family:
Mollie was preceded in death by her late husband, Lorenzo.
She is survived by her two children, Vickie McCall and Lorenzo McCall Jr.; her loving daughter-in-law, Tammy McCall; and two beautiful granddaughters, Loren and Leah McCall. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, a godson, Richard (wife Tracy) Overton, as well as many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Her Career:
Mollie retired after more than 30 years as a cafeteria manager at Luthersville/Unity Elementary School and as a school bus driver. In her early years, she also enjoyed being a beautician.
Her Joy:
Her greatest joy in life was the love she gave and received from her family. She carried that love into everything she did, creating a warmth that made everyone around her feel at home. Whether through quiet moments or shared laughter, she had a way of making each person feel deeply valued and cherished.
She also found happiness in singing, a simple, beautiful expression of her spirit. Her voice, whether lifted in celebration or softened in reflection, brought comfort and light to those who heard it. It was one of the many ways she shared her heart with the world.
Her love and her song will remain with us, echoing in our memories and guiding us forward. Though she is no longer with us, the melody of her life continues in all who were blessed to know her.
Mother, we love you and already miss your love and smile. Rest in peace in heaven.
