Roger Daniels

Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Roger Daniels, a native of Union Springs, AL.

Roger Daniels was born June 13, 1962, to James Fletcher and Elizabeth Daniels in Union Springs, Alabama.

He was educated in the Bullock County School System, graduating in the Class of 1980 from Bullock County High School in Union Springs, Alabama.

Roger fought a good fight; he finished his course; and through pain, sickness and suffering, he kept his faith. Now, he rests in the loving arms of his beloved Savior, where pain, sickness, and suffering are but a thing of the past. Roger was a born again Christian. He was a member of The Greater New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as an Usher. He also helped with other auxiliaries in the church.

On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, Roger heard the call from His Lord and Savior, informing him that his work on earth was done.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with Public Visitation, Friday, June 3, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home, 2605 North 34th Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

The Farewell Celebration will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, at The Greater New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, 1605 N Nebraska Ave., Tampa, FL 33602. Roger's final resting place will be at: Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 North Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Roger was preceded in the death by his father, James Fletcher; grandparents, Roscoe and Elizabeth Daniels; grandson, Marqueas Williams; and brother, Charles Russell. He leaves behind to cherish precious memories: a devoted and loving mother, Elizabeth Daniels; three loving children, Trenecia Daniels, Roger Carnegie, and Roshannah Carnegie; six grandchildren, Meka’yana Williams, Kivaughn Joseph, Taniya Brown, Mariyana McMillian, Roger Carnegie Jr., Rockelle Carnegie; one great-grandson, Hakeem Williams; one brother, Anthony Daniels, Sr. (Jacklyn); three sisters, Debra Hepburn (David), Connie Brown (Kreg), and Sandra Woodbury (Richard); one aunt, Lee Artis Daniels; three nephews, Anthony Daniels, Jr. (Teneshia) and Kreg Brown Jr. (Kim), and Jaylen Baxter; six nieces, Gretchen Dubose (Danny), Stephaine Dubose-Bowden (Durell), Mariah Daniels, Shakeyla Hamilton, Sandricka Moody (Dequan), and Serenity Woodbury; a host of loving cousins, family, and friends, Charles Nunley, James Nunley (Neicy), Josie Skanes (William), Deborah Cummings, Cheryl Daniels, Cynthia West, Gwendolyn McCloud, Delphine Daniels, Jacqueline Turner, Marsha Marks (Roosevelt), Veronica Taylor, Morris Daniels (Jackie), Katrina Daniels (Edward), Reginald Daniels (Olga), Kenneth Daniels (Shelley), Terry Daniels (Anitra), Corey Daniels (Lashell), and Micheal Daniels; devoted friends, Alonzo Richardson, Leon Chandler, and Charlie Freeman, Sr.
