Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Springfield Baptist Church, 400 Poplar Street in Hogansville, Georgia. Rev. Michael Jackson will officiate and interment will follow in the St. Paul AME Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will be Friday from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
The cortège will leave Saturday at 10:15 AM from her residence at 415 Colquitt Street in LaGrange, Ga.
Mary Jim Hall Underwood, born August 5. 1933 to the late Geners and Willie Nona Hall was called home for eternal rest on December 15, 2019.
Mary was born and reared in Hogansville Georgia and attended West End High School.
She dedicated her life to Christ at and early age, and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Hogansville. She faithfully served on the church usher board for many years.
Mary work in environmental services department at West Georgia Medical Center until retirement. Mary, being as independent as she was, couldn’t just retire. She continued to work in the Lagrange area with the Foster Grandparent system. She worked at Café prek program where she was just know as “Grandmomma” by the children. She also continued as a private in home sitter, where she developed several personal friendships with the elderly.
Mary was a great cook, loved music and dancing, and at the young age of 84, would still showing off her dance skills.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a devoted and loving son Larry Hall, her sisters and brothers, Ruby Lee, Colman, James, Willie Fletcher, Geners Jr., Amanda, Amelia, Moses, Aaron, and Claude Hall. Son-in-laws Ezekiel Lynch jr and George Hart, other Uncles and Aunts.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her children Bobbi Jean Hart, Michael Curtis Hall, LaGrange Ga. Carolena Lynch Hogansville, GA:, and Patricia(Horace) Flowers. Daughter-in law, Mary L Hall. Grandchildern: Zsa Zsa (Titus) Heard, Deon Hart, Lagrange: Cicely(Cory) Roe, Kemper , Texas Milton(Bemon), Kellee Underwood, Raven Hart, Shameka Gilbert, Larry K. Hall, Jaquardian Hardy, all of LaGrange GA: Dr. Jimmy McCamey Jr., Quinton McCamey, LaGrange, GA: Carlton(Nylus) McCamey, Lanett, AL.: Texann McCamey, Audria(Willie) Norwood, Annie Fields all of LaGrange, GA.: Curran Flowers, Miami FL., Christina Walker, Tulsa, Oklahoma,: 37 Great Grand Children, 40 Great Great Grand Children. Nieces: Precious Thomas, Atlanta, GA: June Jeter and Nephew Aaron Hall Jr., both of Dayton, Ohio. Special Friend Doris Davenport of LaGrange, and a host of other relatives and friends.
