Chelsey Takia Persons was born January 23, 1998 in Montgomery, AL to Catrina and Darris Persons. Chelsey walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 6, 2016 at the age of eighteen.

She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Oak Grove Baptist Church in Midway, AL.

Chelsey was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mildred Miles; grandfathers, Eric Raynard Foster and Walter Dozier and uncle, Raynard Foster.

Chelsey was an outgoing, smart, loving, caring person who was so full of life and met no strangers. She attended Bullock County High School, where she was also a senior of the Class of 2016. She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her loving parents, Catrina and Darris Persons; God-mother, Richetta Rayborn Phillips; one God-sister, Jaleesa Rayborn; two God-brothers, Jemario and Jerrod Rayborn, all of Union Springs, AL; one sister, Breanna Persons; one brother, Darris Persons, Jr., all of Florida; grandmothers, Pearlie and Bertha Dozier; eight aunts, Michelle (Jay Redding), Chicago, IL, Daphne (Johnny Scott), Birmingham, AL, Gloria (Johnny Rodgers), Betty (Walter Young), Angela (Bobby Foster), Brenda Youngblood, Kimberly Miles and a special aunt, Aretha Miles, all of Midway, AL; nine uncles, Edward Miles, Elvis Miles, Marc Dozier, all of Midway, AL, Henry Reed, Eufaula, AL, Everett Griffin, Troy, AL, Junior S., Abbeville, AL, Michael Mooty, Marvin Mooty, both of Chicago, IL and Andre (Svetlanna) Miles, Union Springs, AL; along with a host of great-aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; including her special cousins, Alexis Miles and Kennedy Miles, both of Union Springs, AL and Jakobe Smith of Midway, AL; Baby Zoey Jenkins she reared as her own; Lavarius (Bill) Miles and Anfernee (Pee Wee) Miles, Birmingham, AL and extended family, Bernice and family.
