Obituary For Mr. LiQuori Brown

Mr. LiQuori Brown, affectionately called "Corey" or "Chubb", a resident of Phoenix, AZ and former resident of Valley, AL, died Monday, September 30, 2019 in Phoenix, AZ.

Funeral Services in Alabama are scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Willie G. Wimberly officiating. Davis Memorial Mortuary directing.

Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.

LiQuori was born to Julia Ann Brown and Rozell Floyd on October 1, 1975 in Valley, Alabama. At an early age he accepted Christ and joined the Weeping Mary Baptist Church in the Beulah Community of Valley. Upon relocating to Phoenix, AZ he later united with First Institutional Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Warren H. Stewart.

He was a graduate of the Valley High School, Class of 1993. He attended Southern Union Community College. For a period, he was employed with West Point Stevens. Later he became a Correctional Officer with the Chambers County Detention Center in LaFayette, AL and afterwards a Correctional Officer with the Troup County Detention Center in LaGrange, GA. In 2005 he started a new journey by moving to Phoenix, Arizona, where he resided until his death. While in Phoenix he was employed with Conair Corporation, Hollow Metal Corporation and lastly with DCI until the day he transitioned.

He was a loving son and a devoted father. He was quiet, kind and soft hearted. He cherished his family and loved ones. “Corey” or “Chubb”, as he was affectionately called, was known for his infectious smile and contagious laugh. He was a jokester who had a love for antique cars.

On Monday, September 30, 2019, LiQuori M. Brown entered eternal rest in Phoenix, AZ. His soul took a flight from this world of sin, sorrow and pain. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sylvester and Eula Mae Brown and his paternal grandparents, Roy “Joe” and Channie B. Floyd.

His memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of his loved ones: a devoted son, Gabriel M. Brown, Phoenix, AZ; his loving mother, Julia Ann Brown, Lanett, AL; his father, Rozell (Mary) Floyd, Valley, AL; four sisters, Sheronica Bailey, Ashley Brown, Tolandra Harris and Shonkedra (Bradley) Wright all of Valley, AL; three brothers, Russell Brown, Phoenix, AZ, Eugene Sanders, Jr., Atlanta, GA and Terry Bailey, Valley, AL; a special aunt, Peggy Wilson, Phoenix, AZ; three aunts, Shirley Alexander, Valley, AL, Joann Roberson and Lizzie Thomas Robinson both of Salem, AL; five uncles, Charles Brown, Phoenix, AZ, Sylvester “Sonny” Brown, Valley “Beulah Community”, AL, Carl (Barbara) Core, Roy (LaShanda) Floyd, Valley, AL and George (Shirley) Floyd, Salem, AL; one niece, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
