Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the transition of Alonzo "Neckbone" Thrasher, of Union Springs, Alabama on August 10, 2019.

His earthly tenure of 46 years will be celebrated with Homegoing Services on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm from the sanctuary of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Chunnenuggee, Avenue Union Springs, Alabama. Dr. Cheryl Stevenson pastor.

The message of comfort will be delivered by Rev Gary Lewis, pastor of the First Missionary Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in Mason Cemetery.

Mr. Thrasher will lie in repose at the Church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.

Public visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

Alonzo “Neckbone” Thrasher Sr., age 46, passed away peacefully from his earthly life on the morning of Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Bullock County Hospital. He was supported by his loving family.

Alonzo was born April 29, 1973, to Luckey and Mary Thrasher in Tuskegee, Alabama. Alonzo accepted Christ as his Savior at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Union Springs, Alabama, where he served as a member who loved the Lord.

Alonzo is survived by four children, Alonzo Thrasher Jr., Artarius DeVantae Thrasher, Union Springs; and Ariana Nicole Thrasher, Jacksonville, FL (Former spouse, Aisha M. Jefferson); Peyton Siler, Troy, AL (Shaniqua Siler). Three grandchildren, Zion and Lauryn Thrasher, Union Springs, AL (Artarius & Isha); Mecca Thrasher, Hannon, AL (Alonzo Jr & Brandy). Two brothers, Timothy Thrasher, Union Springs, AL and Kenneth Thrasher, Jacksonville, FL. Four Aunts, Louise Allen, Josephine Allen, Jacquelyn Allen, Union Springs, AL, Nancy (Jeffery) Jones, Hughes Springs, Texas, Catherina Thrasher, Rochester, New York, Rosie Lee (Henry) Thrasher, Union Springs, AL, Annie Joyce Finney Pennsylvania, Lizzie (Willie) Mitchell, Decatur, GA, Jennie (Douglas) Moore, Tuskegee, AL, Mary Ann (Johnny) Thomas, Union Springs, AL, Lisa Calloway, Union Springs, AL.
