Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the transition of Mrs. Loria Ann Baker Kendrick, 54, of Union Springs, Alabama on August 5, 2019.

Services celebrating her earthly life will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm from the sanctuary of the Old Sardis Missionary Baptist Church,

The pastor, Dr.James Gochett will officiate the services.

Eulogistical expressions will be rendered by her brothers- in-law, Elders Freddie and Joseph Jones of the First Union Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Interment will follow in the Union Springs Perpetual Care Cemetery.

Mrs.Kendrick will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.

Public visitation will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Loria B. Kendrick was born October 26, 1964 in Union Springs, Alabama to Mr. Clemmie and Mary Baker. Loria accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Old Sardis Baptist Church.

In 1982, Loria graduated from Bullock County High School. She furthered her education at Okaloosa County Tech., Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Phillips Business College in Columbus, GA.; and Trenholm College, Montgomery, Alabama. Loria received degrees in Computer Operations; Business Administration, and certifications as a Legal Secretary. She was employed for fifteen years as an Assistant Manager of Associated Grocers in Union Springs, Alabama. Loria was recently employed with Piggly Wiggly Grocery Store.

Loria passed away unexpectedly, Monday morning, August 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her son, Clemmie Baker (Man) Mahone; her father, Clemmie Baker; sister, Vickie Baker; her grandmothers: Lillie Davenport and Annie L. Baker; mother-in-law, Minister Willie Pearl Kendrick; and grandfathers: Ruben Banks and William Baker.

Mrs. Kendrick leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Charles Kendrick, Union Springs, AL.; four daughters: Jessica Baker, Erica Mahone, Union Springs, AL., Shavonda Mahone, Montgomery, AL., and Leeza Kendrick, Union Springs, AL; a caring mother, Mary Baker, Union Springs, AL.; one sister, Sharon Baker, Niagara Falls, NY.; God-sister, Cynthia McNabb, Union Springs, AL; four sisters-in-law: Charlie Mae (Nelson) Grooms, Willie Mae Kendrick, Sylvia Kendrick, Haines City, FL., and Delores K. (Juan) Pritchett, Union Springs, AL.; four brothers-in-law: Freddie (Delois) Jones, Joseph (Dorothy) Jones, Robert (Barbara) Kendrick, Union Springs, AL., and Clinton (Annie) Kendrick, Lakeland, FL.; twelve grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
