Carter Funeral Home humbly announces the transition of Mr. Aaron Williams Jr., 78, of Union Springs Alabama.

Mr. Williams, a Veteran of the United States Army transitioned into eternity July 12, 2019 at his residence.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 11:00 am from the sanctuary of the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, Rev.Hawthorne Reed, pastor.

The eulogy will be delivered by the Rev. Andrew Walker, pastor of the Walton Chapel Methodist Church of the Aberfoil Community.

Interment will follow in the Elizabeth Baptist Cemetery.

A remembrance visitation will be held one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services at the church.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

“Bud” – Aaron Williams was born March 8th, 1941 to Aaron Williams, Sr. and Willie Lee Williams in Union Springs, Alabama. His loving parents and one brother, Arthur, preceded him in death. Bud was one of 5 kids born to this union. He gave his life to Christ at an early age.

Bud was a truck driver for more than 40 years in Albany, New York. He was also an entrepreneur, opening his own business, B & B’s Lounge which thrived for more than 20 years in downtown Albany. In 2005, he retired and moved back home to Union Springs, Alabama where he came out of retirement to drive trucks for Koch Foods until he became ill. Those who knew him well described him as “the man who never slept.” He was a hard and dedicated worker.

Bud joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Mrs. Barbara Williams on June 23rd, 1997.

In addition to his devoted wife, Bud leaves to cherish his memories his wonderful children: Greg (Montgomery, AL), Ronald(Atlanta, GA), Ronda (Grico Provitt) (Atlanta, GA), Charles (Rochester, New York): Stepson, Ronnie Bartee (Albany, New York): five grandkids, and 2 greatgrands: 3 sisters: Ruthie Mae Jackson (Atlanta, GA), Bessie Mae McClaney (Montgomery, AL), Carrie Sutton (Atlanta, Ga) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to support the Williams family with End of Life Services.
