Obituary For Jack Bailey

Mr. Jack Bailey 83, of Auburn, Alabama died Saturday July 13, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 15, 2019 at 3PM at the Center Baptist Church with burial to follow in the LaFayette City Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Hamer and the Rev. Lamar Smith officiating.

Visitation will be held at Center Baptist Church Monday from 2PM until 3PM prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be sent to Center Baptist Church 2511 Co. Rd. 33 LaFayette, Alabama 36862.

Mr. Bailey was born in Chambers County October 26, 1935 to the late John Bailey and the late Zadie Howard Bailey, he was a member and deacon chairman at the Center Baptist Church in Ridge Grove, he taught sunday school, and served as a Lay Speaker, he retired from the City Of LaFayette as the Department Head of the gas and street department after 35 years and later retired from Alagasco after 14 years and also served on the LaFayette City Council.

He is survived by his Wife Dot Bailey of Auburn, Al., Daughter Lisa (Charles) Teel of Auburn, Al., 2 Brothers John H. (Beverly) Bailey of Smyrna, Ga., Howard Ray (Shirley) Bailey of South Haven Ms., 2 Grandchildren Leslie (Carl) May of Hoschton, Ga., Bradley Teel of Auburn, Al., 4 Great-grandchildren Lucas, Jackson & Benjamin Teel of Salem, Al., & Braley Smith of Hoschton, Ga.
