Lethia confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age, and united with the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. C. L. Daughtery. She continued working as a faithful servant under leadership of the late Rev. Louis Upshaw and the current pastor, Dr. Lamar D. Johnson. Lethia was very involved in the church serving on various auxiliaries at Mt. Hermon and churches throughout the Valley. She was a member of the Mt. Hermon Mass Choir and The Gala for Christ Choir. She enjoyed singing for the Lord
Ms. Jackson attended the Chambers County School System and was a member of the 1972 graduating class of Lanett High School. She was employed by West Point Pepperell and Lanier Memorial Hospital for many years and currently employed by Interface Flooring.
Lethia”, affectionately known as “Ann” by family and friends, was one of the most generous, kindhearted, loving, hugging, and kissing individuals anyone could ever meet. She always had a smile on her face, never met a stranger, and she knew how to compliment others. She forever had something kind to say to everyone, and always said something that would make you laugh or smile. She genuinely loved and cared about people, and often ministered to them whether it was in the grocery store, parking lot, mall, restaurant, at work or wherever. She was preceded in death by her son, Takeshi E. “Keith” Jackson; her parents, Arthur James Winston and Ella Mae Flournoy Jackson Bailey; her brother, Oscar James “Buck” Jackson; sister, Annie Faye Peyton and grandparents, Nathan and Carrie Flournoy.
Lethia Ann leaves to cherish her memories: one sister, Linda Jackson, Lanett, AL; one brother, Oscar Charles (Lanita) Winston, Atlanta, GA; aunts, Sarah Woody, Linda Flournoy, Lanett, AL; uncles, Tommy Lee Woody, Roosevelt (Louise) Flournoy, Bobby (Christine) Jackson, Lanett, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
