Obituary For Corrine Harris

Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mrs. Corrine Harris, 73, of Union Springs, Alabama on April 13, 2019.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3:00 PM from the sanctuary of the St.Luke Baptist Church of Union Springs, Rev. Dixon pastor.

Words of comfort will be delivered by Pastor Gary Lewis of the First Missionary Baptist Church

Interment will follow in Mason Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to Celebration of Life Services.

Public visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home

Mrs. Corrine Johnson-Harris was born October 27, 1945 to the late Maureen Tellis Gracery and Dock Johnson. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined St. Luke Baptist Church, Union Springs, Alabama. She departed this life on April 13, 2019 at the Capitol Hill Healthcare Facility, Montgomery, Alabama.

Corrine was preceded in death by her loving mother and father: Maureen Tellis-Gracery and Dock Johnson; brother, Dock,Jr. (Charlena) Johnson; grandmother, Cora Tellis; nephew, Anthony Johnson; uncle, Pete Tellis and cousin, J.T. Tellis, Jr.

Corrine was a loving and caring aunt, great aunt, great great aunt, neighbor and friend. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted niece and nephew, Cynthia Jackson, Union Springs,Alabama; Dock Johnson, Jr, III (Tracy Harris), Montgomery,Alabama; great nieces, Kymbrianna Johnson, Union Springs,Alabama; Lanecia (Rashad) Flintroy, Houston, Texas; great nephews, Javier Johnson, Ft.Bragg,NC;Anthony Johnson, Jr.; Union Springs,Alabama; great great nieces, Ava Johnson, Jy’Tarrua Hollingsworth, all of Union Springs,Al;Morgan Flintroy, Houston, Texas ; great great nephews, Amaurii Johnson, Jaxson Smith and Anthony Lernear Johnson,III,all of Union Springs,Alabama; cousins, Margaret Tellis-Sanders and Charlie Tellis, Union Springs, Alabama and Earl Tellis, Miami,FL and a host of relatives and friends.

A very special and devoted friend/sister, caretaker, Queen E. Stewart-Ellis who has truly proven that this race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong but the one that endures until the end.
