Ms. Ella Sampson (Mathis) passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on October 1, 1948, to the late Claude Mathis and Leila Hickey Mathis in Columbus.

The Homegoing Celebration for Ms. Sampson will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Progressive with interment at Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
