Wanda Faye Trimble, 76, passed away on March 15, 2026. She was born in LaFayette, AL, on May 21, 1949.

Faye was preceded in death by her father, Robert Eugene Trimble, paternal grandparents; Robert and Omie Trimble, and maternal grandmother, Pearlie Gooden.

She is survived by her loving mother, Gearline Trimble, sister, Bobbie (Perry) Walls, her nephew, Bubba (Ashley) Walls, her niece, Shannon Deller, her aunts; Wynell Tally and Yvonne (Pee Wee) Jessup, and numerous cousins, grandnieces, and dear friends, who will miss her deeply.

Faye dedicated 30 years of her life to education, retiring from Mobile County Schools as a head of student testing, and leaving a lasting impression on many young lives. Outside of her career, she was a gifted scenic painter. She was also known as a generous supporter of multiple charities.

Faye had a deep love for her two dogs, Jasper and Molly, who brought her great companionship.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 25 at 2pm CST at LaFayette Heights Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1200 Al Hwy 77 LaFayette, Al. The family asks that any contributions in Faye’s memory be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
