Obituary For Lynda S. White

Ms. Lynda Sue White, 69, of West Point, GA passed on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Hospice LaGrange, LaGrange, GA. Ms. White was born February 26, 1949 to the late Henry(Jr.) and Minnie(Heard) Strickland.

Lynda gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. In later years, she united with the Emanuel Chapel CME Church, West Point, GA. She attended West Point City Schools. Lynda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed listening to the local radio station and people watching in the mornings. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Coretta (Byron) Moore, Snellville, GA, Kimberly Ellison, Lanett, AL and Terrence White, LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, Byron (Jessica) Moore Jr, Cassius Moore, Deandrea Moore, Roctavious White, Destiny Ellison, Camden Mackfield, Jordan Mackfield and Tevin Mackfield; two great grandchildren, Aizaya and Anthonie Moore; siblings, William (Jackie) Strickland, Pearland TX, Henry Strickland, Milledgeville GA, Christopher (Andrea) Strickland, San Antonio TX, Samuel Strickland, Villa Rica GA, Doris Autry, Lanett AL, Brenda Moss, Ewa Village HI, Shelia (Steve) Dudley and Jacqueline Foreman, West Point, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. White will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. ET at the Emanuel Chapel CME Church with the Rev. C. J. Smith, Pastor, Eulogist, Dr. Jesse Walker, II, Pastor Terry Tucker, Bishop Bertha Hodge, Pastor Michael Stiggers and Rev. W. G. Wimberly assisting.

The interment will follow in the Marseilles Cemetery.

The remains will lie in state at the church on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. ET until the funeral hour.
