Terry Shelton passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025.

Terry was born on December 3, 1946, to Oneita and Max Vaughn in Los Angeles, CA. She spent many years in California and Woodstock, GA before later making her home in Austell, GA.

Known for her optimism, love of her family and of baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves, Terry will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Terry’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.

Terry is survived by her loving family; her five siblings, Judith (Vaughn) Hill, Linda (Vaughn) Mendez, Susan (Vaughn) Geck, Stephen Vaughn, and Stephanie (Vaughn) Mendivil, all of California; her two sons, Clifford and Patrick, her beloved grandchildren Jackson, Siobhán, Milo, and Gus, daughters-in-law Cindy Zelik and Anna (McBath) Shelton, and her collection of Betty Boop memorabilia.

A memorial will be held at her home on Saturday, January 3, 2026 and the family will receive friends there from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the Habitat for Humanity NW Metro Atlanta office in her name.
