Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, January 25, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. from Rehoboth Baptist Church, Valley, AL with Pastor Karanja Story, Officiating and Rev. Vernon Carter, Pastor of Berean Church International, Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Valley, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.
Atonia Lashay Cochran was born November 16, 1974 in Valley, Alabama. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a devoted member of Berean Church International of Lanett, Alabama where she served as a faithful member of the True Worship Praise Team.
Atonia received her education in the Chambers County Public System, graduating from Valley High School in 1993. She furthered her education receiving the Associate Degree from Southern Union State Junior College.
She was a loving and devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with family. Atonia departed this life on Monday, January 21, 2019 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.
Precious memories will be cherished by: four daughters, Jellisa (Nathaniel) Morris, Valley, AL, Tonicia (Jesse) Price, Auburn, AL, Shanecia (Corey) Gray and Angel Frederick both of Valley, AL; two sons, Detrick (Tiffany) Cochran and Catarious Ricks both of Valley, AL; eight grandchildren; her mother, Merita (Lloyd) Ashford, Valley, AL; her father, Tony (Tangy) Morgan, LaGrange, GA; grandmother, Mary Bell Cochran, Valley, AL; two brothers, Tony (MeKisha) Cochran, Valley, AL and Orlando Cochran, Lanett, AL; two sisters, Sharmeshia Cochran, Valley, AL and Shauntia McCants, Lanett, AL; six nephews; three nieces; and, a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends, including three very special friends that were like sisters, Kelli Gates, Hogansville, GA, Teresa Sharpe and Angela Thomas both of Valley, AL.
