Mr. Robert Chapman Jr., affectionately known as “Pee Wee,” was born on November 15, 1972, in Langdale, Alabama, to the late Geneva Bailey and Robert Chapman Sr. On November 17, he peacefully entered into eternal rest at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia, surrounded by his devoted sons, sister, brothers, and a host of family and friends.
At an early age, he confessed his life to Christ and began a personal journey of faith, growing to know Jesus for himself.
For more than 20 years, Pee Wee was a dedicated and faithful employee of Milliken Duncan Stewart. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were admired by all who knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Andy Bailey; grandmothers, Atheria Brooks and Corine Hunter; and grandfather, Jimmy Hunter.
Cherishing his memory are his two beloved sons: Antwonus Tre’mayne Chapman of Valley, Alabama, and Quentavious Deonbrae Chapman (Shayna) of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is also survived by six brothers: Steve Jones of Columbus, Georgia; Gerald Jones of Atlanta, Georgia; Willie Ray Bailey (Margaret) of LaGrange, Georgia; Charles Bailey of LaGrange, Georgia; Richard Chapman (Barbara) of Valley, Alabama; Greg Brown; and one devoted, loving sister, Catrice Bailey (Keith) of LaGrange, Georgia.
He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including his close friend Chris Hicks. Among those who held a special place in his heart are three nephews: Elonzo Murphy (Wendy), Steve Murphy, and Quintez Bailey.
Pee Wee’s life was marked by love, faith, and dedication. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
