Ms. Wyvonnia V. Tucker Rodriguez, 72, of Decatur, GA, formerly of West Point, GA, transitioned on October 26, 2025, at Emory Medical Center, Decatur, GA.
Graveside Services for Ms. Wyvonnia Virginia Tucker Rodriguez will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. ET in the Westview Cemetery, 800 Austin Street, West Point, GA, with Rev. Ricky Hayes, Eulogist.
Public viewing will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, fr 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the M.W. Lee Mortuary.
Wyvonnia Rodriguez was born on December 4, 1952 to the late Mrs. Jessie Mae and Henry Tucker of West Point, Georgia. Wyvonnia departed this life on October 26, 2025 at Emory University Hospital Atlanta, GA.
Wyvonnia accepted Christ at a very early age. She was united with Christ at the age of 11 at the Lanett Church of Christ, where she remained a member to her death.
Wyvonnia was a very loving, kind, and caring person. She always tried to help others, always looking for the best in others no matter how unkind they were. She loved family unconditionally.
When she ended her day after speaking with her loved ones, her favorite phrase to say was “Good night precious; love you the mostest.”
Wyvonnia attended Harrison High School. She continued her academic achievements by attaining a degree at Southern Union College in Early Childhood Education and an associate degree from New York State College in Psychology and Sociology. She received several rewards from 1997-2008 for “Teacher of The Year.” She worked for the Atlanta Public School System, teaching Kindergarten for several years. She moved into the private sector, where she taught Pre-k and became Head teacher until she retired in 2016.
Wyvonnia was preceded in death by two children, Kiercetan Tucker and Fredrick Deundra Tucker; her parents; three brothers, Coty, Henry and Leroy Tucker; two sisters, Dorothy Davidson and Willie Mae Patillo; two nieces, Lavern Davidson and Betty Jean Patillo; nephew, Ulysses Patillo.
Wyonnia leaves behind three children to mourn her, two sons Patrick (Rachel) Tucker of Decatur GA and Coty Demetrias(Shejuania)Tucker of Manor TX; two daughters, Jacquelyn Lashawn Mackey of Lithonia, Ga and Tatyana Jalesa Tucker of Atlanta GA; one sister, Margaret (Aaron)Calloway; her significant other, Mr. Kenneth Turner of 20 plus years; several special nieces and nephews, Theresa (Horace) Gilliam of West Point, GA; Stephanie (Chris)Harrell of LaGrange, GA; Corey Davidson of LaGrange, GA; Shemeka (Jerome) Harris, Tameka Morris of Lagrange GA; Ricky and James Tucker, LaGrange, GA; a host of others whom she had special love for grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces' great grand nieces, cousins and friends.
