Obituary For Mr. Valentino James

James, Mr. Valentino, a.k.a. Jonas, a resident of Atlanta, GA and former resident of Valley, AL, died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Piedmont Healthcare, Atlanta, GA.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. (EST) from Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Opelika, AL with Pastor Wendell Jones, Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Mr. Valentino James, the son of the late Mr. LeRoy James, Sr., Mrs. Mary James Holloway and Mr. James Floyd, was born May 18, 1968 in West Point, Georgia.

He confessed Christ at an early age and became a life-long member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church of Opelika, Alabama.

Jonas, as he was known to many, was a product of the Chambers County School System graduating from Valley High School in Valley, AL. He enjoyed spending time with family and motorcycle biking.

“Val” was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. On Sunday January 6, 2019 Mr. Valentino James peacefully departed this life.

His memories will forever be cherished by: his loving wife, Charesse James; two children, Kristian Valentino (Elizabeth) James and Stephan De’Angelo (Jennifer) James; two children from the heart, Ashley Nicole (Todd) Noyes and Steven Tyler Buffi; one grandchild; sisters, Kim Dooley, Yolanda James Carter, Jacqueline Ramsey, Mary (Willie) Phillips, Connie (Mike) Moore, Virginia Floyd and Regina Jeffery; brothers, Leroy (India) James, Jr., Edward James, Victor (Kim) Floyd, Michael Floyd, James (Gloria) Floyd, Terrance Jeffery and Tracy Farrow; parents-in-law, Richie and Barbara Buffi; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
