Born in Eufaula, AL to the late Jesse and Rosa L. Jackson Kelly, Miss Kelly was a member of the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served faithfully with the Choir and the Mother's Board. She was employed for over 20 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Muscogee Manor Home and with the Phenix City Nursing Facility. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Destiny Harrow, four siblings, Willie James Kelly, Louise Weathington, Emma Jackson and Mary Kelly, and a brother-in-law, Johnny Butler.
Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: two sons, Terry Kelly (Andrea) and Benjamin Kelly; three daughters, Barbara J. Lockett (Lewis), Berneita K. Harrow (Thaddeus) and Angela Knight; seven beloved grandchildren, Omar E. Lockett, Tamora S. Wilkerson (Errol), Ashontia Kierra Harrow, Ian T. Harrow, Tawanna Cook, Phernando M. King and Nakedriona "KeKe" Keys; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Betty J. Butler; two brothers, James "Bro" Kelly (Ethel) and Jesse "Bootsy" Kelly (Christine); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Miss Kelly will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 12:00 noon at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church where Pastor David Dawson is pastor. Pastor Allen Averett will officiate.
The interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, 1 til 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
