The Caring Staff of Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Mrs. Dorothy Mae Calhoun of Union Springs, Alabama.

Mrs. Calhoun transitioned into eternity Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the age of 82.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, July 25, 2025, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Carter Funeral Home, 302 Carter Street, Union Springs, AL.

The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00am from the sanctuary of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church 176 Fitzpatrick Rd., Fitzpatrick, Alabama

Interment will follow in the New Bethel AME Church Cemetery.
