Obituary For Love Dean Freeman

We respectfully announce the passing of Mrs. Love Dean Freeman, age 77, on Monday, December 17, 2018, in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 12:00 Noon, St. Paul CME Church in Lone Oak, Georgia. Pastor Carlton Mahone will officiate and Rev. Roderick Freeman, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will be on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 11:00-7:00 PM.

Mrs. Love (Dean) Freeman was born November 2, 1941 to the late Ivy and Annie Mae Dean in Hogansville, Georgia. Love departed this life December 17, 2018 at Rosemont of Stone Mountain Nursing & Rehab Facility. God whispered “Your work here is done”.

Love attended the Meriwether County School and graduated from Greenville Consolidated High School Class of 1961. Love joined the St. Paul CME Church during her early childhood. After relocating to Atlanta, she attended and became a member of the Church of Resurrection under the leadership of the late Reverend A. P. Richards. She enjoyed singing and praising the Lord and was a member of the singing group The Gospel Consolers for twelve years. Love was a cheerful and fun-loving person to be around and never met a stranger. She retired from Rickett & Coleman and after her retirement she worked for Cobb County Public School System as a school bus monitor for special needs children. She was a sharp dresser! She enjoyed fishing, singing and most of all being with family and friends. She was married to Alfred Freeman, Sr. for 51 years and from this union they were blessed with three children, Loretta (Veda) Kennedy, Alfred B. Freeman, Jr. and Marlo Freeman Henry.

She was preceded in death by her daughter (Marlo) and three brothers (Unice, Ivy Jr., and Ector) and two sisters (Julia Lee & Clara).

Love Freeman’s life and legacy will forever be cherished by her loving son Alfred (Denise) Freeman, daughter Loretta (Veda) Kennedy, grandchildren Latrecia Love Freeman, Jarmal Boston, Eryn Freeman, Jaden Henry and Jariah Henry, great-grandchildren Anton Lee Boston. Brothers, Lovett (Ileva) Dean, James Robert Dean, Willie Dean; Sisters, Bessie Lindley, Christine Murphy, Annie Pearl Sewell and Ambra Jean Wilson. In-laws, Marion Grissom; Adelle Freeman; Linda Postell; Beverly (Stanley) Ball; Elizabeth Freeman; Barry Henry (son-in-law); Special nephew and niece, Trevor and Krystal Wilson and a host of other relatives and friends.
