Obituary For Calvin S. Sears Sr.

Sears, Mr. Calvin Smith, Sr., a resident of Hampton, GA and former resident of Tuskegee, AL, died Friday, November 23, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel. Officiating Daughter, Mrs. Mardenia Singleton

Interment is scheduled for Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. (EST) at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Alabama. Davis Memorial Mortuary directing.

Calvin Smith Sears, age 89, born to the proud and honored parents of Mr. William Tazwell Sears & Lizzie Smith Sears on September 8, 1929 of Tuskegee, Alabama, peacefully transitioned the evening of November 23, 2018 at home amongst loved ones. He resided most of his life in his native hometown of Tuskegee, Alabama where he attended Emanuel Baptist Church and grade school during his youth, before later relocating to Hampton, Georgia. “Preacher”, a faithful servant and Veteran of the Unites States Army, was also a brick mason, carpenter, and jack-of-all trades by those who knew him. He loved his family beyond measure, and remained an unwavering supporter of his community. He was truly a pioneer to those who encompassed him.

The humble servant, whom was affectionately called to sleep until the resurrection, was preceded by his beloved, devoted, honorable, esteemed and virtuous wife Mrs. Sadie M.R. Sears, son Mr. Venturia Sears, five deceased siblings (three brothers and two sisters).

He leaves to cherish his sister Mrs. Creola Matthews, his two sister-in-laws Mrs. Ardie Young and Mrs. Sarah Ballard, brother-in-law Mr. Johnny V. Robinson; his 8 living children, daughter and son-in-law Mr.& Mrs. Vincent and Glorida Delano; son and daughter-in-law Mr. & Mrs. Calvin Jr. and Barbara Sears; son Maduria Sears; daughter Leameso Sears; son Manesco Sears; Son Reazutor Sears; daughter and son-in-law Mr. & Mrs. Jerry and Mardenia Singleton; son and daughter-in-law Mr. & Mrs. Suzuiket Sr. and Felicia Sears. He also leaves to cherish 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
