Lizabeth M. Cooper, age 69, of Valley, AL, passed away on March 7, 2025, in Columbus, GA. She was born on July 9, 1955, in Valley, Alabama, to Bruce and Ann Milner.
Liz was a loving wife to Don Cooper and cherished mother to Leslie Cooper and Elizabeth (daughters) & Larry (son-in-law) Forte. She is survived by her Aunt Beth McGee & brother Bruce Milner. Liz will be deeply missed by her family & Long time Friends, including her beloved grand son Cooper Forte, four-legged son, Atticus, and grand-dog Thorin.
Represented Valley High School with pride, displaying strong showmanship while maintaining high standards of performance as head majorette. A proud graduate of Troy State University, Liz earned her degree in Criminal Justice. Throughout her life, she remained steadfast in her Christian faith, her love for family and friends, and her unwavering commitment to animal rescue, both locally and globally. Her dedication to these causes enriched the lives of many and reflected her caring nature.
Liz had a true passion for digging for gems and minerals, a hobby she greatly enjoyed. As a member of the Empty Nesters Group, she also formed lasting friendships that she valued deeply. Her ability to spoil her furry companions, particularly Atticus & Thorin, was a testament to her nurturing spirit.
A memorial service to celebrate Liz's life will be held at Valley-Point Funeral Home on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 EST.
She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to local or global animal rescue organizations, a cause dear to Liz’s heart.
