Obituary For Jerry Floyd Whitworth

Jerry Floyd Whitworth, 80, of 1011 Keys Drive, Williamston, SC died on October 28, 2018 at the McCall Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM EDT on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Greenville Baptist Church, Greenville, GA.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM- 3:00PM EDT at Greenville Baptist Church prior to the service.

Interment will follow the memorial service at Greenville Cemetery, Greenville GA.

Mr. Whitworth was born October 18, 1938 in Greenville, Georgia to the late Howard Vincent and Louvenia Whitworth. Jerry graduated from Athens High School in Athens Georgia, attended West GA College in Carrollton, GA and served two years Reserve in the Military. Jerry was an avid salesman. He worked for L&F Records, American Greeting Cards and was a courier for Acme preceding his demise. Jerry was at his happiest when he was with his family while watching the GA Bulldogs and Falcons play. He also loved animals and was a huge advocate and supporter of the local Humane Society.

Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary Whitworth and his brother Jack W. Whitworth.

He is survived by his son Scott Whitworth and wife Susan of Simpsonville SC, his son Christopher Whitworth and wife Tracy of Simpsonville SC, and his daughter Candace Gooding and husband Greg of Mooresville, NC; six grandchildren, Michael(Alicia) Whitworth, Ashley(Evan) Whitworth, Jeremy(Kristen) Whitworth, Jordan Whitworth, Karsten Gooding, Kennedy Gooding; and five great-grandchildren, Camden, Olivia, Hudson, Brody, and Emelia Whitworth.
