Amy Elizabeth Morgan passed away on April 25, 2025.

Born on July 3, 1966, in Athens, Amy remained closely connected to the community throughout her life. From an early age, she developed a passion for the arts and theater. She was active in her school’s drama club and later performed with local theater groups as a young adult.

Amy had a deep appreciation for music and pop culture, particularly from the 1980s. She enjoyed television shows such as The Partridge Family, The Banana Splits, That Girl, Lost in Space, and Land of the Lost. A devoted fan of entertainment, she found joy in collecting autographs from soap opera stars, musicians, and movie icons.

Those who knew Amy will remember her wit and remarkable memory. She had a unique talent for recalling family history with both precision and humor, often becoming the trusted storyteller to her siblings. Her sense of humor brought light to many moments and left lasting impressions on those around her.

Amy is lovingly remembered by her son, Morgan Hall; her sisters Laura Pieper (John), Stephanie Cowan, and Callie Morgan; one niece; one nephew; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents JT and Hilda Anderson and Howard and Ruth Morgan; and by her parents Debbie Cowan, Roger Cowan, and Jimmy Morgan.

A memorial service to honor Amy’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, 2 pm at Cornerstone Athens, located at 4680 Lexington Road in Athens, Georgia with Pastor Steve Stringham officiating.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Eastside McDonald’s, Cornerstone Athens, Pastor Steve Stringham, Divergent Recovery, Amy’s many friends, and the compassionate community of Athens for their love and support.

May Amy’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
