Central Cremation Services respectfully announces the passing of Rufus Cooper of Jefferson Georgia on February 5th, 2025.

Rufus Cooper was born in Mount Vernon, Georgia, on July 13, 1938 to the late Zimmie Cooper and Lige Cooper. He was preceded in death by his 3 other siblings.

He attended Montgomery County High School. Soon after graduating, he began his journey north to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked for 25 + years at Commercial Cold Storage until retirement.

Rufus was married to the love of his life Estelle Cooper for over 60 years. To this union they were blessed with one son, Scott Cooper.

Rufus loved the outdoors, you could find him any day grilling out, riding around on his lawnmower or restoring old cars.

Rufus was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories, wife, Estelle, son, Scott, beloved grandchildren Ian and Tessa Cooper, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
