Andrew Steven Bass

Andrew Steven Bass, age 55, of Social Circle, passed away peacefully while under the care of Providence Hospice at Piedmont Walton medical center, just after 2 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17th.

He is preceded in death by his mother Becky Kadel. Andrew, or Andy, was born in Macon Georgia to Becky Bynum and Charles Wayman Bass. He grew up in Milledgeville, and later relocated with family to Conyers, where Andy went on to graduate from Rockdale County High School. Andy loved NASCAR , fishing, football, and the Lord. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and participated in a Fantasy League with friends. After obtaining his certification, he created the online Chaplain’s Corner, a simple ministry, which he hosted on Facebook. Andy is remembered as a kind and generous soul, who greeted everyone with his favorite saying , “I am blessed by the best, and praying for the rest”. His infectious laugh and good heart will be missed by all who know him. He, and his wife Amy attended Faith Tabernacle in Conyers.

He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Amy Lasha ( Lowe) Bass, and his bonus daughter Svea. Father Wayman and Rita Bass, of Jackson. Brother Charles “Chuck” Bass, Jr and Paula Bass, residing in Las Cruces, New Mexico; brother Christopher Bass, of Powder Springs. Nephews Chase, Travis, and Bryce; niece, Britany. Many other family and friends.

Andy chose cremation, provided by Central Cremation Services of Pendergrass. A Celebration of Life is planned for after the holidays. The event, presided over by Michael Patterson, will take place at Faith Tabernacle at a date and time to be determined. Details will be announced via Facebook, text, and phone calls. Andy’s wife Amy is working to memorialize Andy’s Facebook page, along with the Chaplain’s Corner Facebook page.
