Central Cremation Services respectfully announces the passing of Charles Legrand Huggins of Athens GA, on November 5th, 2024.

Charles loved his family and friends more than anything in the world. He was born in Lake City, South Carolina, April 14, 1932 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 5, 2024 at the age of 92. He enjoyed sailing, spending time at the beach with family and friends and a career in Real Estate.

Charles is survived by his daughter Mary Flynn (Bob), son Victor Huggins (Lan), grandchildren Cara Hjemvik (Brian), Robby Flynn, Lane Flynn, Steven Flynn, Jasmine Richmond (Bo), Violet Huggins, Lena Huggins and great-grandchildren, Nora Hjemvik and Victor Richmond. Also, his sisters Mary Alice Perkinson, Sarah Onessimo (Joe), and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his son Charles Huggins Jr, his father, James Allison Huggins, his mother, Alice Huggins and his two brothers Russell and James Allison Jr..

The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to DeeDee Perrin for her compassionate care at the end of his life as well as Saint Mary's Hospice and the staff at Manor Lakes.

A private family ceremony is being planned. At the request of family members, please do not send flowers.
