Jewel Ann McCullough Harper, the daughter of the late Alberta Lipscomb McCullough and late Frank McCullough, was born November 29, 1956, in Chamber County, Alabama. She departed this life peacefully on October 9, 2024 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, Georgia.
Jewel accepted Christ and her Lord and savior and was united with the Emanuel Chapel CME Church of West Point, Georgia where she served on the Usher Board. She received her education in the West Point Public School System and was a graduate of West Point High School.
Jewel, as she was known to all, was a loving, caring person who always had a smile on her face. Jewel was the jewel that she represented. She enjoyed fishing, no matter what time it was. Her favorite saying was “Hey There”. She always spoke to whom ever she came in contact with.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Johnathan Stafford; grandson Juantae (Scrap) Harper; her loving brothers, Williams Mccullough, Len Mccullough, and Jerome McCullough; her loving niece, Cassandra Hutchinson, and a special companion, Michael Scott.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband Willis H. Harper, Sr. Lanett, Alabama; one son, Willis H. Harper, Jr. (Nikki) Lanett, Alabama; four daughters, Tanika Harper, West Point, Georgia (Lenny), Vanessa Harper, Lexington, Ky (Gus Davidson), Valerie Harper, Norcross, Georgia, Laquilla Carlisle, Lanett, Alabama; grandchildren, Carderius Harper, Lentavis Harper, Takayla Harper, Zakirra Harper, Skylar Harper, Tremetrius (Travarous) Longshore, Antonio Harper Sr.(Mir), Gustavious Davidson, Keyair Davidson, Kwanza Harper, Keyshaun Harper, Jalaci Timmons, Valencia Timmons, Laquarious Carlisle; great grandchildren, Carderius, Juantae, Zailyn, Alona, Emma, Nazir, Dvontae, Zanasia, Xaidyn, Dakylan, Antonio( AJ), Janiyla, Ahmir, Analeia, Kyair, Khloe, Kmyrah, Dylan , Shmaire one loving sister, Margie McCullough (Vigril Abner) West Point, Georgia; two loving brothers, Frank McCullough and Freddie McCullough of West Point, Georgia.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Emanuel Chapel CME Church, 1309 E. 10th Street, West Point, GA with Rev. Betty Ray, Officiating, Bishop Donald Lancaster, Eulogist.
Interment will be held in the Westview Cemetery, Austin Street, West Point, GA
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. ET at the mortuary.
