The Staff of Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Mr. George Townsend of Midway, Al.

Mr. Townsend transitioned into eternity Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the age of 84.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, July 19, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Celebration will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11:00am from the sanctuary of the Ambassadors For Christ Church, Union Springs, Al.

Interment will follow in the Young Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the End-of-Life Care of the late Mr. George Townsend.
