Mr. Porter Holloway, a resident of LaGrange, GA, died Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Oakview Home in Waverly Hall, GA.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. (EST) on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, 3353 Ridgeway Road, Waverly Hall, GA 31831 with Elder Mary J. Boykin officiating. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, July 12, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 305 W. F. Burns Drive, Valley, AL 36854.

Mr. Porter Holloway was born February 25, 1930 to the parentage of the late Mr. Ben
Holloway and Mrs. Fannie Mae Pugh Holloway in Waverly Hall, Georgia. He received
Christ at an early age and, discovered his talent for singing. He traveled the country
singing with various gospel groups. He was an ordained and devoted Deacon.

One day as Porter was on one of his adventurous journeys, he crossed paths with Ms.
Bertha Louise Willis who became the love of his life. On August 21, 1971, she became his
wife until her death. He was employed by The Georgia Department of Transportation for
34 plus years.

His hobbies and favorite pass times consisted of rabbit hunting, playing cards,
watching baseball and softball, playing checkers and, most of all going fishing with family
and friends.
