Jovonna Isolani Gegenheimer passed away on Sunday February 11, 2024 at age 76. Beloved wife of 56 years to Reuben John Gegenheimer Jr., Daughter of the late Joseph J. E. Isolani, MD and Leila Lioutza Isolani. Loving mother of David P. Gegenheimer (Wife Terri), late Christopher M. Gegenheimer, and Angela M. Reynolds (Husband Jeffrey). Sister of the late Joseph E.(Ed) Isolani (Wife Mary) and Anita Rose Kasper (Husband David). Survived by her two loving and cherished granddaughters, Chrysta Lee Avers and Natalie Geneva Avers.

Jovonna was raised in St. Charles Parish Louisiana where her father was a pediatrician and her mother a nurse, contractor and real estate broker Jovonna was a member of the first graduating class of Archbishop Blenk high school in 1966. Jovonna married her high school sweetheart in 1968 and was a stay at home mom raising her 3 children with her special love and care. Jovonna (Jo) was a talented seamstress with a special talent for making doll clothes and crafts for children. Jo is gone from our sight but not forgotten. We will see her again as soon as God calls.
