Mr. John Lee Britt (MSG Retired USA) passed away quietly Saturday at his home at the age of 84.

A native of Campbellton, FL and the son of the late Henon, Sr and Hazel Knox Britt, John Lee retired from the US Army after over 30 years of service. He also retired from the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) at Ft. Benning, GA.

A devout Christian, he was a member of the Deacon and Usher Ministries at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Willie Pearl Jackson Britt and seven siblings, Elloyd, Robert, Henon Jr, King and Emily Britt, Nodest Curry and Annie B. Graham.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Britt (Evelyn) and John D. Britt (Shari); one brother, Jimmy L. Britt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MSG Britt will be laid to rest with full military honors at Green Acres Cemetery on Saturday, December 9, 2023 after an Eleven O'clock AM Homegoing Celebration in the sanctuary of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church officiated by Pastor David L. Stallion, Sr.

Visitation is 12:00 noon until 5:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
