Ms. Mary "Black Gal" Brooks passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born on December 20, 1937 to the late Curry Martin and Mary Etta Crockten in Pell City, AL.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Dan Brooks, Jr.
Cherishing her precious memories are, daughters, Sharon Brooks and Gloria Jean Brooks; two grandchildren, Dan Demarion Brooks, Sr. and Tytiona Brooks; great grandchildren, Dan D. Brooks, Jr., Arianna Decker, Qu'ari Brooks and Anthony Brooks.

The Memorial Service for Ms. Mary Brooks will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel at Progressive. Visitation will be on Thursday beginning at 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
