Lexus Nichole Burrows Abercrombie passed away on September 20, 2023. She was only 26 years old. Lexus was born on September 1, 1997.
She was a kind and loving person with a funny side that loved to make others laugh. Everyone that had the joy of knowing Lexus can tell you that she loved with all her heart.
Many of the greatest memories of Lexus are softball related. Lexus was a naturally talented softball player. She spent many hours training to be the best she could be. Lexus was a force to be reckoned with on the mound. Her pitching was so fast that they never saw it coming. Her fastball came in around 67 mph. That was so fast back then. Her batting proved to be just as powerful. She spent most of her life on the ball field. Softball provided Lexus with many opportunities to travel to many places and make lots of good memories. She made lots of friends through the sport she loved. There are so many coaches, parents, teammates, and even umpires that we could never name them all. Each of them played such a huge part in her life. Softball also provided Lexus with the opportunity to receive a full paid scholarship to college. She was always thankful for these experiences in her life.
The greatest Joy of Lexus’s life occurred on July 4, 2019 when she became a Mother. She fought so hard to try and get sober for Lilli. Lilli brought joy to her life. She loved Lilli until the end of her life. Her family will make sure her daughter never forgets her Momma and how much she loved her.
Lexus fought her addictions for the past 9 years of her life. Drugs took her away from everything she loved. It took one bad choice to determine the battle she faced every day. She never fought alone. She was always surrounded by so many people that loved and supported her. She was always covered in prayers. Addiction does not discriminate. Her loved ones pray that Lexus’s life can be a testimony for someone else.
Lexus was preceded in death by her grandparents, Evelyn Smith, James H. Burrows SR., David Daley, Doug Miles, and Betty Miles.
