Carter Funeral Home announces the peaceful transition of Ms. Earline G. McKinnes, (64) of Union Springs, Alabama.

Ms. McKinnes passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at her residence while under the watchful care of her loving family.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, June 9, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the sanctuary of the St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Union Springs, AL.

The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Henry J. Fowler of the Mt. Calvary and Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Churches.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Baptist Cemetery.

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Earline was born on June 11, 1958 to Birdie Mae Reynolds and Clarence Tarver in Union Springs, AL. She was the oldest of her mother’s four girls. On May 31, 2023 she gained her heavenly wings surrounded by her family.

Earline confessed to Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Baptist Church in Union Springs, Al. Later, she transferred her membership to Free Deliverance House of Prayer in Union Springs, AL. She was educated in the Bullock County School System and graduated with the class of 1977. She went on to graduate from Southern Vocational College in Tuskegee, AL.

She worked for over 20 years at Columbus Mills in Union Springs, until the company closed. Most recently, she was employed at Bullock County Correctional Facility. Earline loved her family and even helped to raise her three younger sisters. She loved shopping, traveling, beach trips, and purses. She was a workaholic and loved her job.

Earline transitioned from this life, leaving to cherish her memories, her mother, Birdie Mae Reynolds of Union Springs, Al, two loving sons: Christopher L. Mckinnes (Arquenetta) Union Springs, AL and Je’Norris Q. Mckinnes (Sharon), Dothan, Al, four grandchildren: TeQuarius T. Mckinnes, Auburn, AL, Kendall D. Stevenson (Siniyah) Denver, Colorado, Jayce Q. Mckinnes, Dothan, AL, and Jayde E. Mckinnes, Dothan, AL. Six sisters: Tracy Mckinnes Carter (William), Culleoka, TN, Theresa Mckinnes-Williams (Ronnie), Union Springs, AL, Tamika Mckinnes, (Jeffery), Union Springs, AL, Carolyn Christian, Douglasville, GA, Cassandra King, Atlanta, GA, and Linda Tarver, Atlanta, GA. Four aunts: Ginnie R. Brown, Atlanta, Ga., Jewel Mckinnes, (Robert) Louisville, AL, Mary Cummings Chicago, IL. and Katie Davis, Chicago, IL. Four uncles: Ernest Hampton, Union Springs, AL, Rubin Mckinnes (Lula), L.C. Mckinnes (Willie Mae), and James Curry all of Louisville, AL; A very special niece, Alexia S. Williams, Auburn, AL, Tess Brown, Montgomery, AL, Karrington Carter, Culleoka, TN, nephews; Ashton L. Williams and Konnor J. Lampkin, both of Union Springs, AL, and a host of special cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Tarver, brothers Floyd and Keith Tarver, uncle, Joe Mckinnes and aunts, Mattie Shepherd and Pauline Mckinnes.

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the Final Life Celebration Arrangements for the late Ms. Earline G. McKinnes.
