Obituary For Jerry Goshey

Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Jerry Goshey (70), of Midway, Alabama.

Mr. Goshey transitioned into eternity Sunday, May 28, 2023, in Montgomery, AL.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, June 2, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the sanctuary of the New Bethel Church of Midway, AL.

The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Jerome Anthony, Sr.

Interment will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery.

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

JERRY GOSHEY was born on December 30,
1952 in Tuskegee, Alabama to the late Susie
Lee and Manuel Goshey. Jerry confessed Christ
at an early age. Jerry entered into eternal rest in
the arms of the Lord on May 28, 2023 at Jackson
Hospital with his daughter, Kim, by his side.

He was preceded in death by his mother and
father, Susie Lee and Manuel Goshey; wife, Bobbie
Ann Tarver; sisters: Mary Tolbert and Lillie Mae
Henderson; brothers: Emmanuel Goshey and
Tommie Lee Goshey; and grandson, Kameron Tarver.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter,
Kimberly Tarver; two sons, Jerry Tarver, and Kametrez
Tarver; four grandchildren: Kamarion Perry, JerMiaya
Jenkins, Ju’Darrious Tarver, and Kametreuna Tarver;
one sister, Betty Goshey; two brothers: Robert Goshey
and Jimmy Lee (Peggy) Goshey; sisters-in-law: Roberta
Simmons, Clifford (Earl) Reese, Loretta (Timmy)
Shield, Willie Mae Tarver, Tammy Tarver, Patricia
(Lee) Dubose; brothers-in-law: William (Christina)
Tarver, and Roy Goshey; a devoted caretaker, Tawanda
Hollingworth; a devoted friend, James Nunley; and
a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
