John Gear of Bogart passed away at his home on May 30th following a long battle with alzheimers. He was born on November 15, 1938 at his family home in Bogart, the son of Rev. Richard H. Gear and Thelma Cash Gear.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Cora Nell Zuber.

He was survived by his wife, Vera Gear, son, Ricky Gear, daughter, Suzette Sherlin (Greg). 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

As per his request there will be no service.
