Obituary For Michael Earl Blue

Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Mr. Michael Earl Blue (66), a native of the Perote Community, in Bullock County, AL.

A skilled and successful landscaper in Knoxville, TN, Mr. Blue passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Tennessee.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, May 19, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Life Celebration at Graveside will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:00 am from the Perote Cemetery, Banks, AL.

The eulogy will be delivered by Dr. Sidney D. Jernigan, Jr., Pastor of the Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Michael Blue was born on July 10, 1956, in Perote, AL to the late
Melvin and Alberta Blue.

Educated in the Bullock County School System, and a lover of all
things in nature, Michael enjoyed a very successful career as a skilled
landscaper and was known for his beautiful gardens. Hard working
and dedicated, Michael found great joy in helping others while never
expecting anything in return.

He answered the Master’s call to eternal life on May, 13, 2023 in
Knoxville, TN.

Michael was also preceded in death by four brothers Melvin Blue Jr.,
Albert Blue, Lenton Blue and Harold Blue; three sisters Versie Blue,
Wilma Blue, and Bobbie Blue; and a great
granddaughter Kaileigh Thompson.

Left to cherish earthly memories of this
devoted father and grandfather are life
partner Adeline Williams, a devoted
daughter Bernette Blue (Mother
Gloria Walker), Grand children: Ladasia
Reed and Jermontre Blue and Great
Grandchild, Lai’Lanni Thompson.

Fond memories will also
remain with several loving
nephews, nieces, cousins,
and friends
