Obituary For Rosa Miller

Carter Funeral Home announces the transition of Ms. Rosa Miller, (73), of the High Ridge Community.

While under the watchful care of her healthcare team, Ms. Miller passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Southern Springs Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 11:00 am from the sanctuary of the Pleasant Grove CME Church of the High Ridge Community, Troy, AL.

The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Richard Carter.

Interment will follow in the Centennial No. 1 Baptist Cemetery, Evergreen, AL.

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.

Rosa Miller was born on October 3, 1949, to the late
Minnie Lee Locke in Evergreen, Alabama. She was
educated in the Conecuh County School System.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an
early age and became a devoted and active Pleasant
Grove CME Church member. She was a member of
the Eastern Star Pearl Chapter No. 87. She worked
within the Bullock County School System for 26 years,
retiring in 2017.


On May 7, 2023, God called His angel home to heaven.


She leaves to cherish her memories with two children:
Patrick Miller and Miesha Miller; two grandchildren
whom she loved dearly; Jordon Miller and Shaquille
Sims, Jr., all of High Ridge, AL; her brother- and
sister-in-law: Melvin and Cheryl Locke, Chattanooga,
TN; her sister, Mary Locke, Evergreen, AL; sister-in-
law, Kimberly Locke, Vestavia Hills, AL; her dearest
friends: Mrs. Annie Watkins, Mr. Otis Baldwin, Mr.
Leslie Dees, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.


Rosa Miller was preceded in death
by her mother, Minnie Lee Locke,
and her siblings: Rachael, Wilma,
Larry, and Edward

The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the Final Life Celebration Arrangements for the late Ms. Rosa Miller.
