Mr. Bell, age 64, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Central Alabama Veterans HealthCare System – East Campus, Tuskegee, AL.
Mr. Bell, a member of the Bullock County High School Class of 1977 will always be remembered for his unique sense of humor. The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Friday, March 24, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
The Farewell Life Celebration will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the St. Paul United Methodist Church of Union Springs Rev. Aaron Bandy will deliver the message of comfort.
Interment with military honors will follow all services at Mason Cemetery.
In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
Charies H. Bell was born Nov. 9th, 1958 to the late Emma Louise Bell in Union Springs, AL. He was educated in the Bullock County school system and was a proud graduate of the Bullock County High School Class of 1977.
Charles joined the U. S. Navy after graduation where he served honorably for four years.
Charles joined the St. Paul United Methodist Church as a young man and upon his return to Union Springs he again affiliated with and served as a dedicated member of the St. Paul church family. Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Emma (Babysister) Bell, his grandmother Leola Bell, brothers Carver and Walwyn Bell, sister Jetawyn Bell Pipkins, niece Gatra Pipkins and stepson, Derrick Pearson.
He is survived by his longtime partner Carrie Jackson, sister Lula B. Woodard, brother Ronald Patrick 3e11, nephews Michael Bell, Daron Bell, Patrick Bell, nieces Marion Bell, Jennifer Morris, Adrienne Khan, Daution Jackson, Nikita Martin and aunt Shirley Bell.
He leaves to mourn his passing Chiquita Pearson and Brayan Jackson, children he helped raise as his own; two grandnieces, six grandnephews, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He also leaves to mourn his passing his longtime friends Jerome Jackson, Valerie Byrts, T. J. Jackson, Larry Hooks, Barbara Fitzpatrick Reynolds and the entire Bullock County High School Class of 1977.
