Mr. Paul Truitt of West Point, GA, gained his wings into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at his residence. Mr. Paul Truitt, the son of the late Phillip and Nellie Mae Davidson Truitt was born May 9, 1948 in West Point, GA. He departed this life on March 14, 2023 at his residence in West Point, GA.

Paul attended East Depot High School and later complete his education in the Reno, NV School System.

Mr. Truitt was a former employee of the Reno Public School System., Reno, NV. When relocating back to West Point, GA he became employed by the Brian Health and Rehab, LaGrange, GA.

Paul enjoyed spending quality time with his family. His hobbies were fishing and working on cars. He was a jack of all trade. He was a Die Heart New England Patriot’s Fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, W. H. Bridges.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a dear and devoted wife, Irene Y. Truitt, West Point, GA; five children, Diamond Jackson and Darniell Jackson both of West Point, GA, Naeem Bridges, LaGrange, GA, Hannah Bridges, Atlanta, GA and Jamal Bridges, LaGrange, GA; one sister, Phoebe Simmons, Richmond, VA; two brothers, Grady Truitt, Chicago, IL and Bobby (Yvonne) Palmer, LaGrange, GA; a host of both grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends; special cousins, Janie Mae Davidson Jones and Charlie “Trapper” Davidson; special friends, Dexter Gilliam, David Carr, Kenny “Hard Rock” Jackson, David Harrison

Memorial Services for Mr. Truitt will be held on Saturday, March 25 at 1:00 p.m. EST in the sanctuary of the New Harmony CME Church, 129 Adams Road, West Point, GA 31833

Public viewing will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
