Carter Funeral Home announces the sudden transition of Mr. Christopher R. Wood - Caple, (28) of Clayton, Alabama. Christopher, the son of Ms. Melinda Wood, passed away February 7, 2023.

Christopher Rocqual Wood-Caple was born on November 26, 1994 in Union Springs, AL to the Melinda Wood. Christopher confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was educated in the Barbour County School System. Christopher was employed with Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Brundidge, AL for over 5 years. Christopher departed this life on February 7, 2023 in Clayton, AL. He was also predeceased by his grandfather Thomas Wood, Grandmother Carol Ann Wood, Aunt Michelle Wood, and Significant Other Quawanna Whigham.

He leaves to cherish memories of his loving and devoted mother Melinda Wood, Five Children: Christian Caple, , Krist’Yanna Caple, Quaniyah Caple, Nylah Caple, and Bella Caple; Great Grandmother Ruby Knight, his child’s mother Brittany Cooper; a host of caring siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to include Laquanna Gibbs and Dontay Bennett.

The Commemoration of Life will begin with a public visitation, Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.

The Farewell Life Celebration at Graveside will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Friendly Assembly of God Cemetery, Clayton, AL. The eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Ronnie Benefield.

In accordance with recommended COVID-19 Protocols, all attendees are requested to utilize appropriate facial coverings, maintain social distancing, and minimize physical contact.
