Obituary For Joe Leonard Smith

Mr. Joe Leonard Smith passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the age 54. He was born on November 16, 1968 to the late Reverend Willie C. Jones and Georgia Bell Menefield Smith in Phenix City, AL.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, President Smith, Robert Smith, Henry Smith, Joseph Smith, Betty Taylor and Evelyn Smith.

Those left to cherish Mr. Smith's memories are his two sons, Joe Leonard Smith, Jr., Jodece Lamar Smith (Alexis); one grandchild, King Onyx Smith "AJ"; siblings, Eddie L. Smith (Evelyn), James Smith (Brenda), Calvin Smith, Frank Smith, Freddie Smith (Sandra), Willie Smith (Bobby), Michael Smith, Barbara Brown, Johnnie Mae Hite, Indio Tucker, Clary Smith, Linda Smith, Willie Bell Jackson; special friend, Dyletha Pearce, a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Joe Smith will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Progressive with interment at Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2022 beginning at 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
