Obituary For Jane Cromwell Cameron

Jane Cromwell Cameron of Athens GA, beloved sister, and friend, died on November 19, 2022 at her home.

A gifted orator, a skilled organizer with an infectious smile who loved to travel and visited almost every state in the U.S., Jane was much loved by her family and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Daniel Shields Cameron, Jr. and Edith Rogers Cameron.

She is survived by her sisters Edith Cameron Thomas of Charlottesville VA and Elizabeth Cameron Hockenbury of Wilmington NC, her brother Richard Neill Cameron of Rouret, France, sister and brother-in-laws and six nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at a later date in Wilmington NC. In her memory, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association.

The staff of Central Cremation Services is honored to be selected to provide end-of-life services for the Cameron Family.

I, Julie Hatcher, and my brother, Michael Brook were very good, close friends with Jane. We met her at our church, Nations Church, about 2 years ago and she was a remarkable friend, sharing such knowledge and amazing love for Bible scriptures. Her witty comments are priceless; her beautiful smile drew many people to her. We are so sad that she passed so soon in life; our Lord and Savior welcomes her with open arms, and we look forward to seeing her with Jesus.
